This is great!
Ter
"show not tell".
Hmmmm.
A poet wrote: I feel like a moth.
Another penned: I am a moth.
But the first went on:
I feel like a moth
caught between two halegon bulbs
on a dirty porch in West Texas.
And the other continued:
I am a moth,
the last moth,
the other moths dead or dying
on the rotting boards
of a sagging porch in Ketchikan.
(Ketchikan is in the Alaska panhandle and it rains a bit there. Buggy too.)
Show and tell,
tell or show.
A matter of context.
Smiles.
