You might consider cutting the line where you have used prison for the third

Sue, done. Only twice in the poem itself, but I agree. I wanted to echo
"Stone walls do not a prison make" but now see there is no need.
This is really not about marriage, but about the cages we build for
ourselves out of the memories, disappointments, regrets, failures, etc of
our lifes. Perhaps the worse prisons of all.
