Owing to the vagaries of the Net, not everyone on a list will get all the
original messages, - often I've only read a post because someone has replied
to it.
I think it's always a good idea to include the post you're referring to,
because often people didn't see, or can't recall it.
I really think the very small saving in memory isn't worth if for the
confusion that can be caused.
