bob - yes, a one sentence poem can be a good way of linking a lot of ideas
in a direct line. & yes, I can see Clare/Northants at secondhand, via a poet
called Rayne Mackinnon. He was from Darlington originally, and after
spending many years in Carstairs state prison (apparently because of some
tiff with a psychiatrist) he spent his last thirty years in Edinburgh. he
wrote nature poems which had this kind of patina, and I liked them.
Ella, and somebody else, the survival of everything including the poem
writer, is what the last part is meant to suggest. perhaps without the fear
word.
David and those who wanted full stops - I really want to give this gradual
draining of light in which everything is all part of the same thing, so no
full stops. perhaps just show the line of the sentence as clearly as
possible.
james, yes: above those glowworms and small flat frogs.
gary - maybe the bees made you want rhyming patterns.
thanks everyone
