Thanks Bob, everyone seems to like this! I dont mind the two buttons as one
is buttonholes, which are quite different as any needlewoman will tell you.
Net is just a bit of fabric you might have around your needlework box,
facing or something? One could go on, but it would be boring to overwork
such a piece.
The poem began with me musing on driving as a subject, and the first simile
I got was button coloured cars, so it grew from there.
