Thanks, Arthur, about your comments on the poem. I hope you have had a good
day with Hattie. I just spent an hour and fifteen minutes talking to my
ex-dean at the university. He came by my house to pick up a poem he asked me
to write about his cat that died. I am not into dead cat poems but I wrote
it for him because he seemed so genuinely upset about the cat. Dr. Pickler is
now retired, and in the process of a divorce after twenty years of marriage.
I feel very sorry for him, but sorrier for me actually. What is happening to
him and his wife is of their own choice. It is so unseasonably cool here and
has been for over a week. I need to get out and water my plants. It is cool
and dry, very unusual. Mucho hugs, Sue
