Hi Sally,
I think courses on creative writing can scar for life. This piece is terse
and fits the subject. The onion is a wonderful image for poetry too having
done one myself recently, must post it. I think the attraction is very much
the layering idea that lends itself to the idea of layers upon layers in
poetry itself. The poem is good.
