China Bird
I hear the cock's harsh crow
beyond where bluebells grow.
Where does he hide his future family -
under dogwood, swordfern or cedar tree?
If I were him, I would worry
'bout which varmint in a flurry
would, eggs grabbed, lay us low.
Little wonder Ringneck cries constantly,
and in flight seems flustery.
The tuxedo cat tried to catch this bird once. Some place I have a poem
about it, but can not find it now.
