I am so hooked into metaphor that I assume, at first this is some reference
to the 'beast within'
the end is therefore slightly unexpected - but manages not to be soppy,
which I think is due to the archaic language -dragon, hog, loon
I find this transition a bit weird
fur, hair
as the fur is objective and the hair is a complex part-idiom
likewise this
dissolve to precious duck
where I get an image of a yellow bath toy and bubbles, which I then have to
revise to make sense of the following lines
