This is a "nice" twist from the usual, "it's spring--everybody be happy and
perky and such!" <G>
The couplet at the end gives this one an ominous tone. I've been thinking
today about the death and resurrection theme, the Fisher King, dying so that
the kingdom would prosper. Somehow this piece echoes that...
As to flow, I think you could refine it a bit. The message, though, is
clear...or is it? <G> You just may be having a bit o' fun...
