Sorry...most of Mesopotamia was highly matriarchal, and the women owned the
spiritual realm until we see personified in the story of Abraham and his clan
etc. that they initiated a patriarchy. Even with the story of Rachel, we
still see woman's power when she steals her brother's household gods and
hides them under her saddle while she is menstruating, making the search for
them taboo.
