the offset strophes flicker between adult- and childhood( I particularly
like the slant allusion to the Incredible Shrinking Man-still a great movie
in my book). The last strophe and the hint at sexual play, through adult
toys ties, the sweet innocent delights and terror of first love and the pale
hearts of later years, together excellently. BTW it nice to see that old
indefatigable feminist streak surfacing even here (" Always the Indian I
won"........teasing, honest, LOL)
