I received a demo license for Mac OS X and have been able to successfully
compile SPM for Max OS X (G4 OS X v1.5) and Matlab 6.5.0.181392 (R13)
with one important note -> you MUT RUN MATLAB WITH: matlab -nojvm
My configuration is as follows:
G4, Mac OS X v1.5, OroborOSX v0.8, XFree86 through fink
gcc from the Apple Developer Tools
The standard compile options for Mac OS X are not included using the
standard
spm_MAKE.sh. I modified one to be Mac OS X friendly (all compiling done
through
mbuild and mex). The spm_MAKE_osx.sh is attached. I have not had time
to check and see if all the mex files work (thought some people on the
list might
want this info).
*The only issue was as follows. For some reason, running matlab with
the JVM
caused some of the mex files to cause a bus error (eventhough you could
run
them perfectly fine from the matlab command line). Running spm in matlab
without JVM (i.e. matlab -nojvm) doesn't seem to have this problem. If
anyone
has any suggestion as to why this might be the case please forward your
suggestions.
