The complicated compilation for many of the mex files isn't needed
for the functions in the spm99_updates directory (spm_hist2.c,
spm_list_files.c and spm_project.c). To compile these, you should be
able to simply put them into the spm99 directory (or somewhere else
with all the necessary .h files) and type:
mex spm_hist2.c -O
mex spm_project.c -O
You may not need to update spm_list_files, as I think the fix only applies
to Linux. I could be wrong though.
I'm afraid I don't know much about SGI machines, so I've had to
rely on other peoples suggestions about compiling under SGI.
As there are only a couple of files to compile, then it is much simpler
to use the above suggestion than the official way, which is to
use the spm_MAKE.sh file. This is done (outside Matlab) by typing the
following for SGIs with 32 bit architectures:
sh spm_MAKE.sh sgi
or this for 64 bit:
sh spm_MAKE.sh sgi64
