Information for Scotland IX
The ninth running of this established and important annual event in the
Scottish professional calendar returns to Edinburgh University Library in
November. Previous Information for Scotland Conferences have directly and
indirectly influenced the shape and direction of library and information
policy in Scotland.
The format of this year’s event has been altered slightly from previous
conferences, but the essential features remain, with speakers and
wide-ranging demonstrations and poster displays, and this year with
break-out sessions. Our speakers and discussion sessions will cover a range
of current topics featuring cross-domain as well as cross-sectoral
approaches to preservation and other issues in a hybrid environment.
In addition to the breakout sessions (timed to allow delegates to attend two
out of the three offered), there will be opportunity for debate and
discussion, both formal and informal. The lunchtime poster sessions will
illustrate many of the projects and developments currently taking us into
hybrid Scotland.
