Autumn 2002 One Day "Seeing Opportunities" Seminar hosted by RNIB Scotland

Implementing the DDA Part 4 (SENDA) Legislation in Practice: Assistive
Resources for Further and Higher Education

Thursday 7 November 2002

RNIB Scotland, Dunedin House, 25 Ravelston Terrace, Edinburgh

RNIB Scotland is hosting this seminar to bring together academic staff who
have a practical interest in implementing the DDA Part 4.

In particular, the seminar will include perspectives from RNIB Scotland, a
University Disability Co-ordinator and a legal practice. There will be a
focus on the impact of the legislation and on a range of practical
challenges.

Through "hands on" workshops and presentations, delegates will experience
some practical technologies for improving accessibility within a learning
environment.

A key aspect of this event will be the opportunities to share knowledge and
good practice among those present.

We enclose a programme and booking form and invite you to copy this
information to any colleagues who may also be interested. These documents
can also be accessed online at www.rnib.org.uk/seeingopportunities

Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further information.
Completed booking forms should be returned as soon as possible.

We look forward to seeing you on the 7th November.

Yours sincerely

Dr Archie Roy Robin Spinks BA MICG
