Race, science and identity.
Sunday 27th January Holocaust Memorial Day
Time: 15:00
Is any scientific study of 'race' useful? Should we use biological terms to
define human racial differences? Hitler's Nazis were among groups who used
scientific research to legitimise their ideas of racial supremacy. Today we
are told that there may be long-term health benefits to be gained from
studying the genetic racial origins of people. Are we right to be suspicious?
