HI
I work at the National Space Centre in Leicester in a gallery called Space
Now. Within the gallery we often present demonstration led talks. However,
as you all probably well know, developing these can be quite time consuming.
So, I was delighted when I was offered the expertise of ten 2nd year
Leicester University students for a week as part of their yearly project.
They are all space science/physics students who, fortunately for us, have a
lecturer who is a very proactive science communicator and wishes to transfer
these skills to his students.
I have decided to ask the students to create demonstration led presentations
for the space now gallery, based on topics I select for them (mostly based
on space science, physics, the environment). As they have little experience
in this area I would like to give them as much help as possible.
To cut a long story short - if any one knows of any particularly useful
websites (or books) that contain great ideas for demo's (like the
exploratorium website etc) I would much appreciate being pointed in the
right direction.
Thanks v much
