I would like to ask why we get such little notice of these events? The same
was true of the Café Scientific meetings in Leeds. Many of us have very full
diaries and a lot more notice of events like these would be greatly
appreciated.

Subject: Invitation to Science Tunnel Opening
(Apologies for cross posting)
List members are warmly invited to an exclusive evening viewing of the new
temporary exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester
(MSIM). Science Tunnel has been put together by the Max Planck Institute and
is a visually stunning journey through over 50 orders of magnitude of
science, from subatomic particles through proteins, cells, the human brain
and societies to planetary science, black holes galaxies and superclusters.
The exhibition is touring the world, but your only chance to see it in the
UK will be at MSIM. The evening viewing takes place tomorrow evening, the
19th of November, from 5.30 pm, and will be of particular interest to those
working in the fields of education or science communication. There will be
wine, networking and all the usual stuff. Attendance is free, but if you
would like to attend, please contact my colleague Jill Flynn on 0161
6060171, or [log in to unmask]
