PUBLIC AWARENESS OF PHYSICS AWARDS 2002
Know someone who is great at explaining physics to general audiences and who is inspirational or original in their approach?
The Institute of Physics is inviting nominations for its Public Awareness of Physics Awards 2002. The awards are to recognise outstanding physics communicators for their distinguished efforts at raising and promoting physics to non-specialist audiences. Nominees do not have to be trained physicists, just excellent communicators. Up to five awards are made each year to individuals or groups for defined activities.
For more information about previous winners and for nomination forms, go to physics.iop.org/IOP/puawards.html, or contact Shuk Kwan Liu, Public Relations Officer at the Institute of Physics, E-mail. [log in to unmask], Tel. 020 7470 4800. Closing date for nominations is 24 May 2002.
