Colleagues
The BA is organising Building Bridges, in association with Copus - the
science communication partnership, on 30/31 May 2002 at the Institution of
Electrical Engineers in London. Please put the dates in your diaries.
The conference will focus on dialogue (surprise!) - different approaches and
how close we are to achieving it. The provisional session titles are below.
Names and how to register to follow shortly:
* open dialogue - what does it mean? Keynote address
* dialogue in practise - panel/audience discussion
* science, engineering and technology awareness campaigns -
panel/audience discussion
* communicating what by whom?
* advancing knowledge in the public domain - panel/audience discussion
* when to talk about what?
There will be a dinner on the first evening and hopefully some scientific
entertainment. Watch this space.
regards
Jill Nelson
