Dear psci-com
I'm looking to compile a list of networks (e.g. email lists, societies)
which have UK-based science communicators or scientists as members, and
which are focused at a group that is under-represented in science,
engineering, medicine, mathematics or technology.
Examples could include:
African Caribbean Network for Science and Technology
(http://www.ishangohouse.com)
AWISE - the Association for Women in Science and Engineering
(http://www.awise.org)
Daphnet - an email network for and about women in science, engineering and
technology (http://www.portia.ic.ac.uk/partners/database/daphnet.html)
Women's Engineering Society - Society of practising engineers, students on
engineering and related courses (http://www.wes.org.uk)
What qualifies as an under-represented group I leave open to your
interpretation. Any and all suggestions welcome - if you address replies to
me, I'll compile the answers and repost the list to psci-com.
Many thanks
Scott
