Events Assistant - (Grade 2 - £16,910 - 19,575 p.a.)
The Royal Institution (Ri), famous for its televised children's Christmas
lectures, is continuing its 200 years of scientific discovery and
communication with a major expansion of its events programme under the
dynamic leadership of Baroness Susan Greenfield. To deliver this exciting
new range of events, we are seeking to appoint a key person within the
Events team.
Primary duties will be to process bookings and provide administrative
support to the team. You will maintain the events database, and assist with
marketing and evaluation. Ideally, applicants should be educated to degree
level or equivalent, have work experience on a wide range of administrative
duties, knowledge of Microsoft Office, and preferably some experience in
database management and/or events.
The post will require excellent organisational and communication skills, a
quickness to learn and an innovative outlook. Above all, the ideal candidate
will be enthusiastic, flexible and committed to the development of an
outstanding events programme.
