I remember embarrassing scene Cambridge [either 1956 or more likely 1957
when P Hobsbaum had arbitrarily cut a few lines from a poem by Dickie
Drain because it was too long for his pages in 'Delta' . There was an
uncomfortable stand-off over this, uncomfortable because there were
quite a few observers of the scene present.
