As for 'myrkfælni' (being afraid of the dark) try The Saga
of Grettir the Strong. He wrestled with it.
Árni, Árni -- that's what I was alluding to.
And unless I have this wrong, didn't Grettir win the wrestling match with
the barrow wight? It was afterwards, he became afraid of the dark.
