Hi Candice
Don't know who actually wrote it. It is from the technical manual for some
sort of computer programming tool called bison from which I just excerpted a
small selection and collaged together with a few ands and such like to
make the sentences even longer and more confusing. The manual says you have
to be fluent in C language to understand the manual. The most I know about
the computer programming language called C is it uses Boolean operators like;
if, and, fi and so forth and has a syntax and grammer. I find it rather
gothic.
( info bison >& b.txt is just a UNIX command which redirects the online
manual, info bison, into a text file called b.txt so I can get at it and hack
it up using other UNIX commands.... I learnt graphic design and typesetting
in the days after molten lead and before Macintoshes so UNIX was the way to
network and talk to the bloody (and many other filthy expletives) photo
typesetting machine, other then paper tape with lots of holes in it that
is........ which sort of gives my age away as the later half of 40 and I need
a new pair of multifocals, urgently, my eyes are rapidly failing)
best wishes
Chris Jones.
PSS Sorry to hear the B12 deficiency... know wot that's like, meself. Had
strange blood cells and got so skinny the doctor couldn't find a muscle to
give a B12 into muscle injection and I had to do it with a 2 ml syringe and
had to swallow iron tablets four times a day which made me want to puke six
times a day.
