‘Di mia madre’
Del feto ho sofferto l’attaccamento viscerale
sognando tutta la vita il suo respiro lento
distesa al suo fianco in minuta compostezza
progettando nella mia mente la sua mente.
Per anni ho praticato l’Adorazione
in ginocchio presso di lei come un giovane pastore
dinanzi alla mangiatoia del suo cuore
niente da offrirle eccetto questo sguardo.
Quindi sono affondata in acque calde
per annegarvi lentamente con gli occhi spalancati
e una lancia di luce
a indicare in superficie il sole.

‘Of my mother’
Of the fetus I endured the visceral affection
dreaming of her slow breathing
through out my life
lying next to her
in smallness of composure
designing into my mind her mind.
Later I practiced Adoration
kneeling at her side as a young shepherd
in front of the crib of her heart
nothing to offer but this gaze.
Then I sunk into warm waters
and slowly drowned with eyes wide open
and a shaft of light
indicating the sun at the surface .
