Yes, Candice did say that; and I replied to her; and THEN Candice said
"apologies for the misunderstanding", having said "Sorry to have been
unclear" and more
Those messages were sent automatically to everyone, so you'll understand -
perhaps - if I am more than a little surprised by your apparently
triumphant reference only to the earlier message. What, I wonder, is going
on when you quote at length from a posting which has been so heavily
qualified without referencing the qualification which is also in your
possession?
In itself it doesn't matter; but it is important for the seriousness of the
subject from which it threads, which is about as serious as anything gets.
Where the words "misunderstanding" and "unclear" have been used by a writer
of their own writing, I think anyone else is on shaky ground in quoting that
writing.
Candice accused me of issuing a reprimand for your uttering views I found
distasteful. That is not so., but I let it go...
I did find what seemed to be your views distasteful, but you were answered
satisfactorily by others - to no useful purpose apparently, beyond the moral
necessity of always answering such utterances when they are in any way
public.
It was my intention to reprimand you for misrepresenting what had passed
after the event.
I thought this was behind us all; but, as *you have raised it again, I
reprimand you again for misrepresenting what has happened.
