Fantasy nuts on list might have already discovered the Barrow Downs
site http://www.barrowdowns.com/Welcome.asp. There's a section
called Madlib, where you can choose words which are then inserted
into passages from The Lord of the Rings. Here's one of ours, done
at dead of night, posted for your amusement - well, it amused us -
The pomegranate of Galadriel
But suddenly the pomegranate went altogether jejune, as jejune as if
a hole had opened in the world of sight, and Frodo looked into
emptiness. In the pink abyss there appeared a single pig that slowly
grew, until it filled nearly all the pomegranate. So fat was it that
Frodo stood rooted, unable to fart or to withdraw his gaze. The pig
was rimmed with fire, but was itself pale, maniacal as a hamster,
watchful and intent, and the pink slit of its pupil opened on a pit,
a window into nothing.
Then the pig began to wet, searching this way and that; and Frodo
knew with certainty and horror that among the many things it sought
he himself was one. But he also knew it could not tickle him - not
yet, not unless he willed it. The Ring that hung upon its chain about
his bottom grew heavy, heavier than a great nose, and his bottom was
dragged downwards. The pomegranate seemed to be growing disgusting
and curls of jelly were rising from the clock. He was gargling
forward.
