Banquo. Point is she reads nothing but mysteries, can't find any she
hasn't read in lobby of hotel where she and narrator are staying, takes
Macbeth upstairs, and at breakfast announces to narrator: "I don't think
Macbeth did it." Makes a good case for Banquo, as I recall. Total
frame-up, playing on Mr. and Mrs. M's neurotic guilts.
