I always liked that line of Beckett's about being angry with God for not
existing, the bastard!
But I'd suggest that in the absence of a Divine e-mail this conversation is
somewhat futile, as the subject of it is not present. One can also recall
Fulke Greville, about looking into one's heart and finding the God in there
'farre unlike his bookes'.
Like Patrick's suggestion of taxing the churches in the US, oh yes!
