Oh, possibly. It was a long time ago and I do sometimes get my comix mixed
up. Now I think about it, maybe the ending where Dare is gang-raped in the
back of a truck by a couple of soylent-green-addled security guards (it was
something like that, the Mekon had poisoned the food or water supply so that
everyone would rut themselves into a stupor) was a bit strong for two-thou'.
Revolver was always more "grown up" like that. But they were the same
artists, same authors.
Some great comix of recent times: The Invisibles, by Grant Morrison and a
host of fantastic artists, Neil Gaman's revisioning of MiracleMan, the first
Sin City, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen with artwork by my all-time
favourite Kevin O'Neill...
