I was sitting next to a Canadian woman at a concert in Bath Abbey
last night and she said she was in town to write her latest book
on the Inuit. I immediately said 'Jerome Rothenberg' thinking
that he had edited a book of Inuit poetry, but I am now thinking
I may have confused him with Tom Lowenstein. The Canadian woman
had never heard of Jerome Rothenberg and said if he had done
anything with the Inuit it must have been in Alaska which was
outside her remit. Is Pierre Joris here to put the record straight?
I am sure some Inuit work must have been included in 'Poems
of the Millennium'.
