Tom McGraths mother was my landlady in 64 tho I didnt meet him then,
but heard lots of stories. He was down in London then.
I was never one of Hobsbaum's group, I just drank in the pub
with some of them. I dont speak to him anymore (used to correspond
by email) cos I upset him very much. I was there the year after
Anne Stevenson. And I still remember his fathers death.
Glasgow has never been much good for me. Edwin Morgan said
my poetry was rubbish and I think Philip would concur.
REgarding Robert Crawford he seems to have left poetry behind.
I did correspond with him once.
