| So because, after 30 years of war and terror, some Israelis have become
gibbering maniacs, you might be interested in a poet who's become a
gibbering maniac?
No, that isn't what I said at all.
And I do not believe that Paulin is a gibbering maniac.
What he said, as reported in what we have been told is an abbreviated form,
seems entirely sane if to me morally wrong
Going back to what I did say, and expanding it, there wasn't time and enough
space to really analyse this man who was picked out or picked himself out.
Therefore, in so far as it mattered, I assumed that what I saw was straight,
that he meant what he said.
Whether or not he was by any analysis a gibbering maniac I have not
commented. I don't think so.I think he was engaged in a kind of gestural
hyperbole out of a mixture of anger and lack of argument
You tell me some are hibberingmaniacs. OK. Maybe. Whatever it means. But do
we know what caused it? Is it what you call "war and terror"? Is it perhaps
also guilt and fear?
To claim to have a right to dispossess a people on the basis of what *you
claim *your God said to*your people 3000 years ago sounds a little maniacal
to me...
And where did what you call the war and terror come from? Israel started in
war and terror. What, please, is the difference except that the intifada is
reactive?
I condemn both sides; but I do note which side started it, with the govt of
UK and later the govt of US complicit.
What you call "war and terror" will not achieve its aim, but I doubt very
much that it will stop because of that
