LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER POSTS IN MANAGEMENT SCIENCE
The Department of Management Science has three vacancies.
1. Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Management Science Ref: A595
To develop research and teaching in an area relevant to quantitative
marketing analysis or forecasting. The post could be filled by
somebody from a variety of backgrounds such as econometrics, marketing,
statistics or operational research.
2. Lecturer in Operational Research Ref: A596
To develop research and teaching in the mathematics of operational
research, particularly in the areas of mathematical programming,
heuristics, combinatorial optimisation and other quantitative methods.
3. Lecturer in E-Business Ref: A597
To develop research and teaching in areas relating to E-Business.
Teaching will be primarily on postgraduate Management School courses
where the current emphasis is largely strategic with a focus on
business models and organisational implications.
There are many teaching and research links to the rest of the
Management School which holds a TQA rating of Excellent for teaching
and an RAE rating of 5*. Our MSc course is supported by the EPSRC as
a Masters Training Package.
It is desirable that candidates should have a PhD or be close to its
completion, but we are also interested in practitioners who wish to
develop an academic career.
