Whilst looking in one of our laboratories which handles raw sewage I noticed
the staff routinely used Hibiscrub for hand cleansing. This has probably
been going on for some time.
Am I correct in thinking there have been cases of sensitisation to this
product?.
Would washing hands in ordinary soap and water be as effective? I want to
provide some guidance for them.
My own thoughts are to use some kind of thin glove whilst handling the
samples and wash hands in soap and water afterwards only using the Hibiscrub
if there has been skin contact with the samples. I would of course advise
using a suitable moisturising cream at intervals whichever hand cleaning
method was used.
Any advice
Thanks
