Regarding dermatitis of course Chris Packham is your man and he will no
doubt answer this if he is not away on leave. Meanwhile have a look at his
website to see if there is any help for you there www.enviroderm.co.uk . I
have just 2 other suggestions beyond what others have said. There are two
infections which cause blistering and peeling to the hands ( that I know
of). One is 'hand, foot and mouth' which is cause by the Cox sackie virus.
It gives sort of mild flu like symptoms and mouth blisters as well. We had
one or two people locally with it last year ( including me!). The other is
more rare these days and that is scarlet fever - not often seen usually flu
like symptoms with severe sore throat treated with antibiotics and probably
called 'tonsillitis' but I doubt if 2 people would have. Any doctors out
there with experience of these might like to comment further.
Cheers,

Subject: Dermatitis and shrink wrap
> Hi
> I have recently taken up a post as OHA at a large, new retail distribution
centre. I have recently had 2 men come to see me regarding blistering and
peeling skin on their hands, they inform me that it is due to handling
shrink wrap which they are removing from pallets. They have only been
employed for 1 week. I have not come across this before and no one else
within the business has either. I am currently waiting for info from the
suppliers, but wondered if any one on the list has come across this before.
> I would be grateful for any info, any one can give me.
> Thanks
