Hi Phil,
we are just sorting out an active rehab programme and fast track
physiotherapy provsion. YOu are welcome to bob down to have a word with us.
We have employed a Back Care Coordinator and were supposed to start with
physio from the hospital from Sept. Unfortunately the hospital physio is now
saying that they dont have the capacity to take on the contract so we are
looking elsewhere in the area.
In answer to question. We worked out it was 19% of total absence and that
the back care programme would cost £14,000 (i ncluding physio based on
absence over 2 weeks for previous year). We only need to reduce absence by
8% to demonstrate a cost benefit. Kirklees Council reduced significantly
more than this within 1 year. HAving said that service seems to be reducing
now due to politics.
We may be able to combine services Phil. COntact me on 01274 753058.
