Please go to West Publishing, Westlaw or Amazon.com to review relevant
chapters of my book DESIGNING AN EFFECTIVE OSHA COMPLIANCE PROGRAM. The
term "OSHA" refers to the vernacular for "Occupational Safety and HEalth Act
of 1970" (more correctly called OSH Act in academic circles) But my writing
encompasses disabilties laws, workers compensation, role of occupational
physicians and OH nurses and industrial hygienists, international laws,
corporate compliance for multi antional corporations and a wide variety of
sub topics. I update the book annually and in fact am presently rewriting
the 2003 update, so if anyone has specific questions this is a good time to
ask them. The book does set forth a blueprint for OH compliance within any
employer enterprise, ranging from government, academia and corporate
entitities. It also has a series of checklists and methods for "selling the
program" "from the mailroom to the boardroom" regarding methods to include
employee concerns when organizing safety committees and measures of
effectivementss when convioncing managment of the value of OH programs.
Please write to me directly if you have questions or have any difficulty
procuring the book. All the best for a wonderful weekend, Ilise
