CURATOR-IN-RESIDENCE
Invitation for Proposal
The Liane and Danny Taran Gallery of the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the
Arts invites one professional curator to research, develop and produce
three (3) exhibitions for its upcoming seasons.
We accept proposals from curators in the field of contemporary visual
arts and related disciplines who hold an MA in art history, or related
disciplines, and who have a minimum of two years curatorial experience.
The Curator-in-residence will be encouraged to develop innovative
exhibition projects engaging dialogues between visual arts and
contemporary cultures and experiences. Co-production with other
institutions will be strongly encouraged. The Curator-in-residence will
be responsible for some coordination and will be expected to oversee the
audience development and educational activities in conjunction with
his/her exhibitions.
The Gallery will provide an honorarium, a travel budget as well as
institutional support. The Residence will commence in April 2002.
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: April 5, 2002
The application should include a current CV and a proposal of intent for
