Postdoctoral Position at Los Alamos National Laboratory
The Theoretical Division of Los Alamos National Laboratory,
Mechanics-of-Materials and Equation-of-State Group, is seeking a
computational scientist (Ph.D. in the last three years) for a postdoctoral
position in Materials Physics. Experience with finite element simulations
and mechanics of materials of composites is also desirable. The successful
candidate will work with theoretical physicists engaged in thermal and
mechanical properties studies of metals, polymers, and heterogeneous
materials. The individual will also work closely with inter-divisional
participants including experimental material scientists and simulations
groups. A primary mission is to develop physics-based continuum-level
theories. The position is for two years with the possibility of a third
and includes a relocation package and a generous pay scale. Interested
