Great improvements have recently been introduced in the treatment of tin-wolfram ores by Mr J H Collins's adaptation of Mr Richard Pearce's process, which was made public in 1867. This process consists in boiling up with dilute acid and steam before final magnetic treatment, and the adaptation has been well carried out by Messrs. Amos Treloar (chief dresser) and Gurth Johnson (the electrician) at Tolvadden.
