Further to Mr Seals. message to the base, I think a message is to be learned
here. One indeed to be borne in mind by all authors. As is known, I am going
to write a book on Bwlchglas - yes, I hear laughter, this has been promised
for rather a long while! - but now I have sold my hotel and am returning to
my roots, I will now have the time to indulge in my passion/true profession -
mining & farming.
Mr Seal has quite rightly pointed out that there are indeed of course other
pbls. that are worthy of high recommendation, and I apologise if what I said
detracts from these/those other pbls.; however, there have been some that
have been inaccurate all the same. After this statement I must write mine
very carefully!!!
In finishing on this vein, I would like to add that if you are looking for
books on British Mining, your support of the Threlkeld Mining & Quarry Museum
I am sure will be very much appreciated by same. I have now loaned numerous
items previously (& private) on display at the hotel, and if anyone has any
Lakeland items they would care to lend the Museum they will be very
gratefully received - and well looked after.
Regards to All, Bernard.
