Mines in & around Bovey Tracey produced Micaceous Haematite, used in the
manufacture of paint. (for the protection of steel structures)
Other mines produced Specular Iron which was granular & not suitable for
paint manufacture.
Mines such as:- Kelly,; Hawkmoor,; Great Rock, etc

content & use, please:
1) Raddle - three occurrences in Mines List 1908, all at Micklebring nr.
Rotherham (Yorks)
2) Shining Ore - four times, idem, all in/near Bovey Tracey (Devon).
