Hi All.
As anyone information on the reworking of the spoil heaps at the Wet Groves Mine in Wensleydale, (which is still rich in minerals on it's heaps) A breeze block building (which indicates a crusher from the smalls around it) pipes, a tram line with buffers, all indicte it being dated around the 1950's. As Rastrick explains in one of his books the heaps contain baryte, fluorite, hydrozincite plus Galena, which are still present. So what were they recovering? The track to the mine is strewn with minerals, and in the sunlight seems you are walking on broken glass.
Regards
Barry
