I sit quietly in the background in awe of the knowledge exchanged within
this group, not really having the courage or ability to add much, however
following the saga of Beaumont and the way in which it is all being brought
together has possibly allowed me to add a small amount, if The Beaumont Egg
used as an engineering filler, then could there also be a family link to
the centuries old method of filling flaws in "French polished" furniture
with coloured wax melted over the crack or scratch called Beaumontage, or
could the bridge builders perhaps tongue in cheek, have taken artistic
licence ?
