The provisional lecture programme for the conference, 5-8 July in
Aberystwyth, is available on the Web - go to the NAMHO site http://namho.org
and click on meetings to reach the link, or go directly to the programme -
http://www.exeter.ac.uk/~pfclaugh/mhinf/lectures.htm
We have papers on the application of water power in the metal mines of
England, Wales and Scotland, northern Spain, and California, and in various
coalfields from British Columbia to Russia.
Two lecture theatres are available, enabling us to run parallel sessions on
at least the Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately a couple of contributors
have had to drop out due to overriding committments or ill health. The
programme is flexible enough to accommodate the changes but there is still
space for any last minute contributions.
Should anyone wish to present a paper on the subject of water power - 20 to
25 minutes duration using any combination of audio visual, including
digital, techniques, please contact me - details in the signature below.
One clear opening is for a paper on water in Irish mining - any volunteers?
Peter
