Below is an email reply to a request for information on the mines of South
Gloucestershire which I put on the Gloucestershire local history pages.
I have come a cross a reference to the Tortworth site in the past. It would
be interesting to know whether the ore came from South Gloucestershire or
the Forest of Dean.
Does anyone have any other references to this?
There is an international aspect to this too so perhaps some of the lists
North American members might be able to shed dome light.
