Does anyone in England know anything about the apparent demise
of the Maternity Care Data Project http://www.nhsia.nhs.uk/mcd Its
aims were:
"By April 2003, to have standardised and
consistent recording of data relating to
maternity and childbirth, for women and
infants, within Electronic Patient Record
systems in all affected NHS organisations"
The Data Dictionary it piloted was turned down by the Information
Standards Board. It looked like this followed a decision elsewhere,
as the Board stated that there was no development plan attached
and no plans for implementation.

There is also reference to comments by RCM and RCOG. Does
anyone knows what these are?
